GETTING TO HILLBROOK ESTATE
We’re so grateful you’re traveling to celebrate with us in beautiful Whangamatā. This page has all the key details to help you plan your trip and arrive at Hillbrook Estate relaxed and on time.
Arriving by Air
The nearest international airport is Auckland Airport (AKL). From there, the drive to Whangamatā takes about 2.5–3 hours, depending on traffic.
You can rent a car from all major companies at the airport. If you land late at night, it’s a good idea to stay in or near Auckland and drive down the next morning so you’re well‑rested for the celebrations.
Arriving by Car
Hillbrook Estate is just outside Whangamatā on the Coromandel Peninsula.
Drive toward Whangamatā using your GPS. Once you reach the town, follow directions to Hillbrook Estate (the exact address will be in your invitation and RSVP confirmation). On the day, there will be signs to guide you from the main road to the venue, and our team will direct you to guest parking.
Please allow extra time for traffic, fuel stops and a few scenic photo breaks along the way.
Arriving by Bus
We’ll be arranging a guest bus between Whangamatā and Hillbrook Estate.
The bus will pick up and drop off guests from a central point in Whangamatā. We’ll share the exact location and times closer to the date. If you’re staying in town and prefer not to drive, we highly recommend using the bus so you can relax and enjoy the day.
Please let us know on your RSVP if you’d like a seat on the bus so we can plan numbers.
Helpful Travel Tips
- Timing: Aim to arrive at the venue at least 30 minutes before the ceremony so you can park, find your seat and settle in.
- Phone reception: Coverage can be patchy in some rural areas, so it helps to download your map for offline use.
- Weather: The Coromandel can be sunny but changeable. Pack layers, sunscreen and a light jacket.
